The exact process to get it depends on the version of the DualShock 3 you are using, but for the most part, you have to perform a similar procedure to use a PS3 controller on PC.: Step 1: Download and configure the MotioninJoy driversįirst, connect the PS3 controller to your PC via a USB cable so that Windows starts the installation of a set of initial drivers. so you can set aside the mouse and keyboard for a while if you want to. Today in TechinDroid, we will help you with a quick guide to connect PS3 controller to PC, Windows 10, 8.1, 8. Step 3: Run the program and create a profile.Step 2: Download the ‘Better DS3’ program.
Step 1: Download and configure the MotioninJoy drivers.I hope that works for you, it worked for me. Now you should ensure Scpserver is running, connect your controller via usb and this should pair the devices, when you disconnect the controller it should then be able to connect via Bluetooth.
Click options and "list all devices", select your bluetooth dongle from the drop-down directly under the menu bar, then click Device and "load preset device, select "bluetooth.cfg" then press the install driver button. Go to the directory you have ScpServer, enter bin then enter Zadig, open Zadig.exe. The instructions suggest that if you use the force install feature in the main installer then that will install drivers to devices of unknown compatibility - it won't. It's also worth checking the SCP monitor, there are 2 panels here, you will see Pad1-4 on the right regardless, but you will only see the stuff on the left (Host Address, HCI Version, LMP Version) if your dongle has the drivers installed properly.įrom what the Updates to your main post say I'm going to guess that the drivers haven't installed because that sounds very similar to my first failed attempt at this.
Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier, I wasn't at my PC and I didn't want to try and give instructions from memory.įirst thing you want to do is go to Windows Device Manager, look under "Universal Serial Bus devices", if there is no class called "Universal Serial Bus devices" or your dongle isn't listed there then the drivers aren't properly installed. It also says 'bth 00000000 none' on SCP Monitor & SCP Server.
Update 2- Now it connects to my controller, and doesn't register any button-presses. It won't stop flashing all 4 LEDs, either. Odd.Īfter installing SCP, the controller still works via USB, although the status for it in SCPMonitor is 'Reserved' or 'None'. Though it says that it doesn't have a current master, and I can't set one up for it, either. I can power the controller off while it's connected via bluetooth, and changing the configuration profile makes it install a new driver onto my controller. I've managed to install my own drivers onto it, though the issues persist. If it helps, I have to remove the USB cable twice for it to connect to my controller. It connected to my controller, but caused my controller to freeze. If I don't remove it and put it back in, it doesn't appear in my device manager, nor my devices & printers. I can't uninstall them for whatever reason, as it just reinstalls it whenever I remove it. I've connected it, and I've found that it came with MotioninJoy drivers already. The dongle is using bluetooth version 2.0, which is compatible with Better DS3. I've given up on that now, and would like help on getting it to work with a bluetooth dongle. You may remember me from yesterday, I was fretting about getting Better DS3 to work with my built-in bluetooth. Got a subreddit you want to see here? Message the mods! (It must be PS3 related.)
